how to insert the needle

It took a bit to figure this out, but there are two finger depressions on the section between the depth selection and the part with the white button. Hold the pen at the depressions with one hand and on the section with the white button with your other hand and twist the pen open. Again holding the pen on the section with the white button with one hand, and pull on the tube of the pen with the other. This pulls the lancet holder down into the pen and the lancet can be inserted. Twist off the needle protector and carefully twist the top part of the pen back on. Select your depth and press the white button to get a blood sample. To remove the used lancet, remove the top and carefully grip the lancet below the needle with one hand and the blue holder with the other hand. Carefully pull the lancet out and dispose of in a sharps container. Replace the cap.
